It was brought to the attention of the audience by targeting kids and youths by establishing links with fast-food companies to produce toys based on the characters of the film to give away with meals for instance, "a free toy with a happy meal". They also produced mainstream action figures to be sold in toy shops around the country, such as Toys 'R' Us.
The film was advertised worldwide with the use of billboards, buses, TV advertisements and even created a new kids cartoon based on the film. Fox also established links with a leading games producer Acclaim to have a game made around the film to be sold on all platforms.
